Jasmine`s Journey
Jasmine Thomas-Coyle is not only the founder of The Princess in Power Project, but also a survivor with a powerful story of resilience and determination. Her journey began in kensington and chelsea, where she first ventured into youth and community work in 2014, specialising in youth domestic violence awareness and self-confidence building projects.
Drawing from her lived experiences as a overcomer of domestic abuse and teenage mother, Jasmine has made a meaningful impact in her community. Over the last decade, she has been instrumental in forming her own community groups and initiatives, creating safe spaces for individuals to heal, learn, and grow. Her commitment to empowering others led her to extend her reach to Barking & Dagenham after fleeing domestic abuse herself.
Now in her role with The Princess in Power Project, Jasmine is eager to secure substantial financial and community support to ensure the projects success and longevity. Her passion, resilience, and dedication to making a difference serve as an inspiration to all who meet her, driving her mission to empower and uplift others through education, support and advocacy.
In 2020, a National Domestic Abuse Commission was held in Barking and Dagenham, where Jasmine served as a leading voice on the survivors panel. She then went on to Co-Found The We Rise Women`s Hub in Barking Learning Centre. Her insight and advocacy highlighted the urgent need to Relaunch the community based initiative - The Princess in Power Project, to effectively address and combat domestic abuse.
